Paper & printing
Thick enough to turn with two fingers.
The interior is 400 gsm uncoated cotton blend, closer to card than to paper.
400 gsm, uncoated
Roughly four times the weight of a magazine page. Matte, with nothing coated over the fibre, so the page holds the light instead of throwing it back at whoever is holding the book. Heavy enough that nothing shows through from the picture on the back of the page.
Pigment, not dye
A 12-ink pigment set rather than dye. Pigment resists light better than dye does, which is what an album meant to be left out on a table needs.
What it means for your files
- Supply the best originals you have. The editor warns below 150 dpi at the size a photograph is printed.
- A screen preview is a guide to the layout, not a colour proof. Screens emit light and paper reflects it, so brightness and contrast can look different in print.
- We reproduce your files without individual photo editing. Retouching and colour correction are not included.
